Primary and Secondary Packaging

Primary packaging materials or container closure systems are those that come in direct contact with the investigational drug product. Secondary packaging is outside the primary packaging and is used to group primary packaging together as a “kit” or “pack.”  

• Project coordination
• ​Blister packaging - thermoform, cold form, multi-product primary packaging, in-line printing (including UV technology)
• Patient blister card production - design of layout & final production, including multi-product wallets
• Bottle filling with a wide range of containers and closures, desiccants, induction sealing, in-line printing (including UV technology)
• Procurement of clinical labels - blinded, randomized, open, appropriate label stock, booklet labels, tinted, pre-printed cartons
• Label production coordination - label proof generation and approval management
• Clinical labeling of trial materials - bottles, blister treatment cards, vials, kits, medical devices
• Labeling and assembly of kits - bottling & mixed product packs
• Assembly of ancillary supply kits
• Sourcing and procurement of comparator and rescue medications
• Collaborate with designated IXR providers with upload data and distribution
• Low humidity primary rooms
